The short version

This site does not use cookies for tracking. No personal data is collected, stored on any server, or shared with third parties. What happens on your device stays on your device.

What is stored locally on your device

• Learner's Assistant progress— your XP, streaks, and quiz results are saved in your browser's localStorage under the key pyrus-learn-v2. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time via your browser settings.
• Audio playback state — no playback data is persisted between sessions. The player resets on each visit.

Fonts

Web fonts (Cormorant Garamond, Lora, Space Mono, Outfit) are downloaded from Google Fonts at build time and served directly from iampyrus.com. Your browser does not contact Google's servers to load these fonts.

Gesture Synth — Google MediaPipe

The Gesture Synth tool uses Google MediaPipe for hand tracking. When you click “Allow camera & microphone” on that page, a WASM model file is fetched from Google's CDN (storage.googleapis.com) and jsDelivr. This is the only time a third-party server is contacted. No video, audio, or hand tracking data is sent anywhere — all processing happens locally in your browser.

If you prefer not to load external resources, simply do not use the Gesture Synth tool. All other pages on this site are fully self-contained.

Analytics

This site uses Vercel Analytics to understand overall public traffic and which pages people are visiting. It does not use cookies, and I do not sell user data. The goal is simply to understand the demographics currently finding and using the site.

This site links to SoundCloud, Bandcamp, and Instagram. Visiting those pages is subject to their own privacy policies. Links open in a new tab and no data is shared with them from this site.
